General sustainability statement

Sustainability is important to GOLSTRIVE. We are becoming more environmentally friendly with every step we take, but we continue to offer you the high-quality products you deserve.

Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, contributing significantly to environmental pollution. In addition, one in five garments produced by the fashion industry ends up in a landfill without ever having been worn.

Since GOLSTRIVE works with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items for which we receive an order, thus avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner's high-quality printing technology produces almost no wastewater and consumes less energy than conventional industrial printers.

Every product you see in our store is made to order – as soon as you place an order, we produce it specifically for you. This allows us to avoid overproduction and textile waste, and we are continuously working to make our production more environmentally friendly.

Our clothing designs are produced using various methods. Many of our products are printed using direct-to-garment (DTG) technology, a printing process in which the ink is first sprayed directly onto the garment and then penetrates the fabric. We use Kornit printers, which produce almost no wastewater and consume less energy than conventional industrial printers, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.

Information about direct printing on textiles
The inks we use for printing are Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. GOLSTRIVE takes sustainability seriously, so we make sure to properly dispose of all ink residues in accordance with the ink supplier's guidelines.

Information about embroidery
At GOLSTRIVE, we embroider our products with Oeko-Tex™-certified threads, which means they are safe for both adult and children's clothing. Compared to printing, embroidery is generally more durable and causes less environmental waste.

There are many reasons why a product or material can be considered sustainable. Currently, our eco-friendly product collection at GOLSTRIVE consists of items that are made from at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or a mixture of these materials.

At GOLSTRIVE, all clothing items are packaged in shipping bags made from recycled plastic (PCR). The PCR content in the packaging depends on where your order is printed, but is at least 50% for the outer (white or gray) shipping bags and at least 30% for the inner (transparent) bags used for shipments containing multiple items.

PCR packaging is made from everyday items such as used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, but choosing PCR over virgin plastic reduces the environmental impact that plastic has on our planet.
